Pool Mural

Barjac, France 2026

In April 2026 I was invited to a small village in Barjac France to paint the side of my client’s swimming pool.

Inspired by the beautiful surroundings, the design weaves flowers, lemons, olives, lavender and peaches into a vibrant mural, reflecting the colours of the landscape.

Whilst in France, a huge antique festival decsended on the small village of Barjac. There were so many incredible objects to see. It was fascinating looking at all the vintage toys in the April sun and I found a tiny carved stool that I’d been searching for.

The pool was unfortunately covered so I couldn’t go for a dip even though it was incredibly hot. I was slightly worried the paint would dry too fast in the April heat but the water from the pool kept everything nice and cool. I just love the pops of peach and yellow. There’s also an Egyptian locust hiding in the mural which was requested by the client. Can you spot him?
